The founder and care taker of DFP and Labbaik belongs to a poor family of Alawal Sharif, A village of Distt. Chakwal. After getting education, he joined Pak army's medical core as male nurse on 16th June, 1957.During the service he looked after wounded soldiers and civilians During war of 1965 and 1971 in C.M.H Rawalpindi and C.M.H Lahore.

     He got "diploma in nursing" from Pak Army in 1971. He spent almost two decades in looking after soldiers in different Army hospitals and infantry units. He was a retired in December 1975.He spent some time in his native village and served the community. He went to serve, as a male nurse in central hospital commonly known as Al-Shamassee hospital Al-Riyadh, The capital of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on N.O.C of the Government of Pakistan in June 1977. He spent 20 years serving and caring of patients honestly and devotedly in that hospital. During this period of 20 years, he got opportunity of performing "Hajj" and "Umrahs".
       Once when he was sitting in sacred Masjid-ul-Haram (Haram Sharif), He longed to devote his life for the service of mankind. In his opinion, he got every thing in his life so he wanted to do so. For serving humanity he decided to establish an organization on the same place, He named this organization as "LABBAIK". The main purpose of naming this organization as "labbaik" was only that whenever and whoever would be, In his sad hours, long for the help of this organization he would find the members of this organization saying labbaik at his front door. For the same high objective of serving humanity, He bid good bye to Saudi Arabia in December 1996, He came back to his dear homeland Pakistan. Reaching Pakistan he got an organization registered on 23-03-1997 and started it by donating Rs. 100,000/- personally. In this way a new chapter of welfare and services of miserable masses was started.
      The other members of his family got inspiration from the noble deed of the founder of Labbaik, And they too joined him. In this way, another organization "DAD FOUNDATION PAKISTAN (DFP)" came into existence and was registered. 26-09-2000 by the Govt. of Pakistan under trust act of 1882.The main purpose of DFP was only to make his family members busy in the sacred mission of serving humanity. In this caravan his wife and his beloved son Anser Mehmood Awan are also taking an active participation. Both of them devoted there lives for this sacred mission and are bussy in inviting others to participate in their sacred mission. Now this caravan is growing larger and larger with every passing day.
